Do What You're Good At!

While sifting through all those useless sites there was always one statement that popped up in my mind, "do what you're good at".
That was it? Do what I'm good at?
I'll admit there are a few things that I'm good at and a lot that I'm not, but the one thing that I am is a compulsive cleaner. Now how, you ask can you make a living at compulsive cleaning?
It's fairly easy believe it or not.Since I was a teenager I have always enjoyed cleaning other peoples' houses: friends would invite me to their parties just because they knew that I would leave their house clean! So I started my own cleaning business, and I profit from people that have no time to do it for themselves.
Now I know what you're thinking, not everyone is a compulsive cleaner. You don't have to be a clean freak, you could do something else, the possibilities are endless! You could build unique furniture as a hobby, you could enjoy designing gardens or you may be very proficent at editing documents, like I said the possibilities are endless!
The best way to find out what you're good at is sit down with a piece of paper and write down your hobbies.Once you do that, relate them to professions that you could turn into a self employable career.
Here are some examples:
You redecorate your house a lot- affordable home decorating
Everyone likes to save money, you could actually research the best prices and give people quotes based on what they want done in their home.Don't forget to add a service fee to your quote! You're not doing it for nothing!
You like to sew and embroider- custom made gifts
I know, you think that, that kind of thing doesn't fly but custom made gifts are very popular and not everyone does their crafts the same so you can add your own personal flare.
You can start at garage sales and visit convience stores to see if they would sell your goods.
Be prepared to give free samples.
You like to play around with computer printing programs- Business card and Flyer Design
I design my business cards and flyers for my cleaning business.Business cards are cheaper if you do them yourself and the flyers too, for the flyers, design and print one at home and take it to your nearest copy center and print them yourself, you can get 100 flyers for just under $10.00.
You can also offer your services to other self-employed people, and for a fee you could help them with their advertising.
Do you like to bake?- consider becoming a Dessert Supplier
You can sell your baked goods to local coffee shops, a good way to start is by giving free samples as gifts.Use the holidays to your advantage.
Dog walking is another popular self-employable career if you enjoy walking dogs; you benefit from it in a few ways, you (and the dog) get your exercise and fresh air, you get a tan, and you get paid for it!

The Power of being fed up!

In this blog I am going to discuss the ads that promise ways to make easy money for as little as $39.95 .The funny thing is, is the people that are interested in these ads are the ones that don't have the $39.95 to spare.I was one of those people,I would browse the ads looking for free documents that I could get at least a little jewel of useful information from.Let me tell you I did a lot of reading and got so many pop-ups from other sites that wanted my $39.95 that my computer crashed!
I felt hopeless! Every single site required a credit card! I know that realistically not everyone has a credit card or even qualifies for one! That is the problem with most of these sites, they seem to think that everyone has a credit card.
So how do you make valuable information easily accessable to both masses?
Well, the only way I see how to do it is you create more than one format.Let me explain, there are many ways that information can be processed:

Downloadable format for those who can afford to maintain a credit card.
Write protected discs that can be sold individually
Books that are published by a professional
Books that are published by the author
I'd go on but that wouldn't make much of a blog now would it!
So we go on to who to listen to, I myself have never spent money on those self-help gurus but I do have one thing in common with them......
I GOT FED UP
I got tired of working my buns off for practically nothing and coming home with just enough to cover the basic necessities of life.
I got tired of listening to my kids cry to me about how the kids at school teased them about their thrift shop clothes.
I got tired of living in a housing project when what I really wanted was across the street from it.
I got really tired of shopping at discount grocery stores for my food.Do you know why most low income people are fat? It's not because they are lazy, it's because all they can afford is cheap processed food! Healthy, fresh, high fiber foods are out of their reach because it's just too expensive!
In future blogs I will be giving tips that will help you succeed in finding and creating a source of income that will be suited to you and you alone.
